Outdoor Features

Deck Umbrella
Located on the rear deck. It can block the sun.

Fire Table
🔥 The Garden Valley burn ban is in effect May 10 – October 20.
During this time, no fire pit or outdoor flame use (including the fire table) is allowed anywhere on the property.
Outside of these dates, the fire table may be used — please limit usage to 20 minutes per day. The fire table shares the same propane supply as the cabin's heating system.
To turn ON:
- Remove the fire table cover
- Make sure debris is cleared away from the ignitor
- Open the lower tray
- Press and turn the black knob to High
- Press both the black knob and ignitor button, and lightly blow across the table until it lights
- Once you see flame, keep pressing the black knob for 3–4 seconds to prime the unit
To turn OFF:
- Press the black knob and turn to Off
- Wait about 30 minutes for the unit to cool
- Replace the cover once cool
Never leave the fire unattended
Always make sure the flame is fully out before covering
Respect the burn ban dates and time limit to help us conserve propane and protect the area

Propane Grill
Located on the rear deck. Clean out the grease trap after use (located at the rear). Since each guest may have their own definition of 'clean', please feel free to wash the grill & utensils and any dishes before & after use.

Propane Griddle
Don't place any items within 4-inches of the griddle top while in use. It will melt.
Setup:
- Remove the Grill Cover (material)
- Remove grill top on (metal)
- Start Griddle
Propane Setup:
Make sure the propane is on. The propane valve is located near the rear of the cabin under the window.
- ON = Valve should be 'Parallel' [-] with propane line
- OFF = Valve should be 'Perpendicular' [+] with propane line
Ignition:
Press down and turn knob counter clockwise to the [+] marker. While holding down the knob, press the ignitor. You will hear the ignitor clicking, the propane hissing and a light pop when the burner ignites.
Cooking:
- Use the left side for meat and the right side for vegetables
- Oil the Griddle. Adjust the knobs to the correct temperature for the food you are cooking
- Apply oil to the griddle in the location where you want to cook
- You can use: olive oil, vegetable oil, canola oil, coconut oil, flax seed oil and sesame oil
Cleaning:
- After the griddle has cooled, but is still warm, lightly push stuck debris to the rear of the griddle's grease trap using the scraper
- If there is stuck food, spray a small amount of warm water on the affected spots
- Using the scraper pull liquid and debris away from the front and sides to the back of the griddle
- Wipe griddle using tongs and a paper towel. Make 2-3 passes
- Apply a small amount of olive oil on the griddle and wipe it off using tongs and a paper towel
- Non-griddle area: Wash the rest of the grill with warm soapy water and wipe dry with paper towel
- After the griddle is cool, change grill grease trap
- Replace the Grill Cover (material)
- Replace the grill top on (metal)
Power & Water Outages

While we make every effort to make your trip enjoyable, sometimes unplanned events happen.
Power Outage
While this is not common, it can happen. Go to https://www.idahopower.com/outages-safety/outages/map/ to check for known outages. We have the modem plugged in to a UPS to provide internet during 'power only' outages.
